Two stages finished and the team is catching up
The Delta Lloyd Solar Boat was the only hydrofoil assisted solar boat who crossed the finish-line today. After a very successful stage, the team has obtained a second position in the overall competition.

A third starting position is secured!
The Dong Energy Solar Challenge will eventually be launched the tomorrow morning. The team is not completely ready jet, though a nice third starting position is secured today.
Delftse draagvleugelboot start zonnerace van positie 3
Na de ‘proloog’ van vanochtend, een race van 10 km van de Grote Wielen naar Leeuwarden, start de zonneboot van studenten van de TU Delft morgen vanaf startpositie drie in de Dong Energy Solar Challenge. De race, het officieuze WK voor zonneboten, gaat volgende week in etappes over de route van deElfstedentocht.
The scrutineering
The scrutineering was a hard one today. After some minor changes the design was fully approved except for the solar panel. Tomorrow we have to eliminate a single solar module to meet the maximum power of 1750 Wp.
The second test run luckily is a great success!
This afternoon on the 2nd of July after many setbacks, we finally could perform a test run. The team has succeeded in rapairing all the occurred damage in just six days.
