The second hydrofoil boat produced by the Delta Lloyd Solar Boat team. Stability problems that occured in 2010 are tackled succesfully. However, this vessel was never able to sail with the use of all the available power. The different parts are hand crafted by the 16 teammembers.

The 2010 model was the first model that applied hydrofoils. Altough there were some struggles in the first stage of the race, later on the hydrofoil technique was applied very succesfully. Overall the team has achieved a third place.

Together with our sponsors and supporters a first place is achieved. With an average sailing speed of 17 km/h and a lead of 3 hours on the first following opponent, the Delta Lloyd Solar Boat crossed the line with a time of 12:05 hours.

On this first edition of the Frisian Solar Challenge the Solar Boat Team of the TU Delft achieved a first place. With a significant lead the finishline was crossed. Every race the team has to prove whether they are the fastest or not.
